In legal parlance, the title of acquisition refers to the legal ground<\/strong> on which a right, especially a property right, has been acquired.<\/p>\n\n

In the field of land registry, this term means the deed<\/strong> on the basis of which a change has been made to the title deed<\/strong>. Thus, it does not have to be only the deed on the basis of which something has been acquired (e.g. a contract of sale), but also another deed (e.g. a notification of a change of the name of a company). <\/p>\n\n

What can be the title of acquisition?<\/h2>\n\n

Different titles of acquisition may be indicated on the title deed, depending on the change that has taken place. These may be: <\/p>\n\n

  1. Contract of Sale<\/strong> – When the property passes into the ownership of the buyer under a contract of sale.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Decision or certificate of inheritance<\/strong> – If the property is acquired under inheritance proceedings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Donation agreement<\/strong> – When the property passes from the donor to the donee.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Exchange contract<\/strong> – If there has been an exchange of properties.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Court Judgment, Foreclosure or Auction<\/strong> – When a property is acquired as a result of a court judgment or public auction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Another charter.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

    The title of acquisition is therefore the information that we find on the title deed under the name of the owner of the land, building<\/a> or apartment.
